BE CAREFUL WITH MARIJUANA GROWS
Despite marijuana being legal to possess in Colorado for people over 21, there are limits on the amount that can be grown by an individual. The state law limits the number of plants one can grow on their own (although there is some issue as to what constitutes a single plant). However, be aware that local governments often set their own limits – including number of plants, square footage of a residence – or business – that can be devoted to a grow, limits on the odor that can be detected from outside, etc. So – if you plan to grow, get to know the ordinances on that topic in the county, city and town where you will be growing, as well as the limits by state law. It can be very expensive to be found inviolation of these municipal ordinances.
