Miller & Harrison, LLC is a law firm of professionals dedicated to helping clients resolve their legal issues. We provide clients with the individual, personalized attention they deserve, whether defending them against criminal charges of all types, trying to suppress illegally obtained evidence of drug possession, handling all aspects of a DUI, defending a minor (or not so minor) traffic violation, seeking monetary recovery for injuries a client received in an accident or personal injury, or by vigorously pursuing litigation for any number of wrongs done to our clients. As attorneys, we deal directly with our clients – we don’t have our paralegals as the main client contact point – we do it ourselves. Effective communication forms strong client-attorney relationships, and with our hands-on approach, we gain a detailed understanding into the client’s case. We consult with the client and seek the result our clients want. Our lawyers also bring a high level of intensity and knowledge to all litigation that aims to achieve positive outcomes.

Our law firm has established a solid reputation throughout Colorado in state and federal courts as aggressive trial lawyers, each with more than 25 years experience. The degree of excellence we have achieved is apparent through the recognition by our peers and track record of winning cases. While many cases settle before trial, we are proud of our reputation for being willing to take cases all the way through trial if necessary. We believe it helps us achieve reasonable settlements much of the time and, if not, shows we are ready to proceed to trial. Of course, our clients make decisions all along the way on how far a case goes.

We invite you to learn more about our firm and to use our legal services. You may call us at 303-449-2830 or send us an email to arrange a consultation with one of our lawyers. Our initial consultations are not designed as a “sales job” of our services to get you to hire us – they are designed to be informative so you can make an intelligent decision about hiring a lawyer. We look forward to hearing from you.

CRIMINAL CHARGES

In one case, our client was charged with producing methamphetamine on her property. After investigation and research, we convinced the prosecuting attorney that while the methamphetamine lab was on property which the client rented, she was not involved in the manufacturing of the drug.

The case was fully dismissed.

DUI CHARGES

One evening, a client drove off from a wedding reception in Longmont where he had been drinking. He was heading west out of town when he was stopped by the city police for driving without his headlights on, and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Upon investigating the case, Miller & Harrison, LLC ascertained that the client was pulled over outside Longmont city limits and outside the jurisdiction of city police. The court found the arresting officer’s actions to be improper, and refused to let the prosecution use any evidence given by the officer (including his observations of the driver) at trial.

The drunken driving charges were entirely dismissed.

CIVIL CASE STUDY

Our attorneys obtained a verdict of more than $1 million against the insurer of a building that incurred severe water damage, even though the building was only insured for $128,000. Through our presentation of the evidence at trial, the jury came to understand the insurance company’s insolence and indifference in handling the claim

Substantial monetary award for emotional distress and punitive damages, in addition to the property damages awarded.

CARELESS DRIVING RESULTING IN BODILY INJURY

A client was charged with Careless Driving Resulting in Bodily Injury from a very serious accident in an intersection in Louisville. We were able to show to the jury that the other driver likely ran the red light, not our client (as the police investigation determined).

The jury deliberated a short time and found our client “not Guilty” of the charge.
